Rumors say that in the morning the drink coffee under the fiery sun and at night... they drink beers like the Vikings. Want to live the fairytale?


About 3D Blinders

LC Xanthi has recruited the best of the best for the organizing team “3D Blinders Family” in order to make this incredible event happen. All the members of our team was 100% there and focused on their purpose...creating an amazing event. Every member’s creative thinking , unlimited energy and unstoppable will, is what made this workshop come to life.

The aim of this event is to meet new people and to unite the different cultures from all around Europe. The main theme of '3D Blinders' workshop is 3D printing and IoT. We did everything in our power to make this event an incredible workshop but an unforgettable adventure too. We hope that every participant will have the best week of his life and after the end of it only good memories will remain.

Event FAQs


From Thessaloniki: You arrive at Makedonia Airport, then you use city bus 78 to the intercity bus station and from there you take the bus to Xanthi. The buses from Thessaloniki to Xanthi (at Sundays) are: 08:00, 11:30, 14:00, 15:30, 17:00, 18:30, 20:15, 23:00, 23:59 and the distance is 2,5 hours.

From Kavala: You arive at Megas Alexandros airport, then you take the bus to the intercity bus station and from there the bus to Xanthi. Be careful, as there is a bus only for flights by Olympic Air (Every morning at 08:45 and only at Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays 22:15). For an alternative, consider taking a taxi from Megas Alexandros airport to Chrysoupolis intercity bus station and then the bus to Xanthi.

From Alexandroupoli: You arrive at Democritus Airport and then you take the bus from Alexandroupoli to Xanthi.

From Athens: You Arrive at Eleftherios Venizelos airport. Then, take the metro or bus until Syntagma station and then change to the metro red line until the train station or take the bus number 12 until Papathanasiou stop for the intercity bus station.

As for how to get in Greece, if you are living in Serbia, Turkey or Albania, you can use one of the following buses:

  • Novi Sad to Thessaloniki : Sunday 15:30 (from Hotel Novisad)
  • Belgrade to Thessaloniki : Sunday 17:00 (from Karadordeva 83)
  • Istanbul to Xanthi: Every Day 12:50, 00:30
  • Tirana to Thessaloniki: Every Day 5:00, 8:15

Hotel Filoxenia
You are going to be staying in Xanthippeion hotel which is located very close to the city centre. You will be sharing rooms with 4 or 2 beds, each with its own bathroom. Boys are going to be separated from girls. You can find the hotel's website at http://www.hotelxanthippion.gr/.
As for the IMW, we are going to move to Toxotes which is a village about 14km away from Xanthi. There, we are going to be hosted by the Filoxenia hotel (http://www.hotel-filoxenia-xanthi.gr/).
kayaking During the IMW, we are going to visit river Nestos, which is the 5th biggest river of Greece. Nestos’ unique natural habitat hosts around 300 species of birds, 30 species of predators, 11 species of amphibians, 21 reptile species and multiple fish species which live in the lagoons of the river’s delta. During our stay there, we are going to partake in many activities by the river (https://www.riverland.gr/), such as climbing, kayaking, flying fox and many more. In addition, we are going to have barbeque in a “beach” by the river.
